Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, and other mechanical systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake replacements, wheel alignments, and tire rotations to uphold safety standards.
- Perform wheel alignments for optimal vehicle handling.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports to troubleshoot complex automotive problems effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering recommendations for vehicle care, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service shop experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and gasoline engines.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and software for accurate troubleshooting.
- Experience working with multiple brands of vehicles.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals confidently for precise repairs.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery.
- Knowledge of alignment techniques is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused approach.
- ASE certification is a plus.
