Overview
We are seeking a passionate, gentle and loving Infant Teacher to join our Infant program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with infants. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where infants can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills for their future. Candidate MUST be able to handle a high-stress environment (crying infants) and possess patience and the ability to create a peaceful atmosphere.
*Starting pay for this position will be dependent upon education and years of experience.
*Position will be 40 hours/week. Position will require working 4, ten-hour days, with a designated off day. Hours will most likely be 7:00 am - 5:30 pm.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education and childhood development.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
- Engage with children through play-based learning activities that enhance their creativity and critical thinking skills.
- Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, including those with special education requirements.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and classroom activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, ensuring compliance with childcare regulations.
Experience
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred. No CDA? No problem. We will pay for the entire process.
- Proven experience working with infant and toddler aged children in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
