Position: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Location: Ahwatukee/ Phoenix
Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Assist doctors during a wide range of dental procedures
- Perform expanded function duties as permitted by Arizona regulations
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral scans
- Fabricate and place temporary restorations
- Place and contour restorative materials as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Educate patients on treatment and oral health recommendations
- Help create a positive and efficient patient experience
- Place orders for dental materials from Patterson
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Dental Assistant certification
- Current CPR certification
- Radiology certification
- Expanded Functions training and experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented attitude with excellent attention to detail
