Senior Staff Accounting

TOC Equipment Rentals is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our headquarters. This position offers a mission-critical, hands-on role and requires frequent communication with various internal departments, such as operations, sales, and finance to ensure outstanding financial management and control. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the capability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly end financial reports
• Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and maintain accurate records and control reports
• Perform internal audits to ensure adherence to company financial policies and regulations
• Implement, oversee, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and company procedures
• Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual review
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including auditing and budget preparations
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills such as familiarity with vlookups, pivot tables, filtering, conditional formatting and formulas
• Solid track record demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Experience with accounting software and databases. Experience with QuickBooks is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
