What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Support) position at TOBOSA DEVELOPMENT SERVICES?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate meaningful and productive activities for individuals.
- Learn the individuals being supported well – their likes and dislikes, strengths and needs, interests and preferences, and their health requirements.
- Support communication between the individual and others using relevant assistive technology devices and strategies.
- Support healthy expression of individuality.
- Support individuals in accomplishing Individual Service Plan goals.
- Plan and facilitate activities that promote opportunities to expand personal interests, build skills, develop friendships, and fulfill valued social roles.
- Assist, train, and encourage individuals to use community resources.
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED – Get paid while you learn.
Tobosa Developmental Services is seeking staff to provide assistance and support to individuals within a home and community environment. Direct Care Support encourages and assists individuals in developing interdependence, productivity, and integration in the community
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- New Mexico driver’s license.
- Certified Nurse’s Assistant preferred.
- Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to provide physical assistance to individuals.

- 12 hour shift

Pay rate: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
