Responsibilities

• Operate heavy haul trucks and trailers to transport oversized and overweight loads safely.
• Plan and execute routes considering load size, weight restrictions, and road conditions.
• Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment daily to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding schedules and delivery status.
• Secure loads accurately using chains, binders, and other equipment to prevent shifting during transit.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or delays and take necessary steps to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy haul operation.
• Minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy haul trucks or in a similar heavy transportation role.
• Strong knowledge of heavy haul safety protocols, regulations, and permit requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret route maps, permits, and load specifications.
• Physical capability to perform load securing, inspections, and vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and extended trips.
