Responsibilities
- Opening Shift 8 AM - 3 PM - MUST OPEN
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions with accuracy and speed using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of store merchandise, including stock levels and product placement, to support merchandising efforts.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting for customers.
- Handle cash drawer operations with integrity, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Demonstrate phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or placing orders.
- Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and inventory counts as needed.
- Promote store promotions and upsell products to maximize sales opportunities.Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings is advantageous.
- Experience in product demos, merchandising, and upselling techniques enhances success in this role.
- Knowledge of retail math for cash handling and transaction balancing is important for accuracy.
- Prior experience with grocery store operations or retail store product knowledge will support your success here.
