Shift Lead – ToastiquePosition Summary
The Shift Lead works directly with the management team to help lead daily operations and create a positive guest experience. This role is responsible for assisting with opening and closing procedures, supporting team members during shifts, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, organized, and able to lead by example in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a leader for team members during assigned shifts
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Prepare smoothies, juices, toasts, bowls, coffee, and other menu items according to company standards
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment
- Help manage shift flow and support front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to management
- Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Ensure team members follow operational procedures and brand standards
- Assist with training new employees
- Support cash handling and register accountability procedures
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, café, smoothie, or hospitality experience preferred
- Leadership or keyholder experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Food Handler Certification preferred
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
