We are located just 17 miles west of downtown Columbus in West Jefferson, Ohio. Our company has been serving customers from Ohio since 1990 and from our parent company in Japan since 1944. Our customer base includes national retailers and leading manufacturers in aerospace, guitar and automotive industries.
In order to achieve our vision for the organization, we want to accelerate our digital transformation. We are seeking an IT Manager to strengthen IT capabilities for our manufacturing facility in Ohio. This role is essential in ensuring our IT stability, security, and efficiency. It is a very broad role that supports many areas of IT including networking, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, desktop support, ERP support and managing third party support vendors. The position reports into our IT Controller.
Summary:
This position requires close coordination with internal stakeholders and external IT vendors, ensuring seamless communication and strategic IT planning. Currently, our IT responsibilities are handled reactively, and we are looking for a professional who can not only troubleshoot immediate issues but also drive long-term IT improvements from a company-wide and mid-to-long-term perspective. The IT Manager will also support executive management on various occasions for internal and external communications.
What You’ll be Doing as the IT Manager:
IT Infrastructure Management
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors dedicated to this area of the business to achieve objectives.
- Manage the relationship with external vendors or consultants dedicated to this area of the business.
- Maintain (as admin) and troubleshoot our Microsoft cloud and on-prem environments, including Windows-based Remote Desktop Servers and Azure virtual machines to minimize downtime and performance issues.
- Manage network infrastructure (hardware and software), including connectivity, server maintenance, and Active Directory administration.
- Support facility-wide IT operations, ensuring seamless functionality of internal systems.
- Management of authorization and accounts for users, such as Microsoft, Remote Desktop and Filesharing systems.
- Collaborate with external IT service providers to enhance infrastructure stability and efficiency.
ERP/SAP Business One Management
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external SAP consultants to meet business objectives.
- Assist internal users in resolving basic ERP-related issues and improving system efficiency.
- Contribute to long-term ERP/SAP enhancement strategies aligned with business goals.
Cybersecurity Management
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors dedicated to this area of the business to achieve objectives.
- Manage the relationship with external vendors or consultants dedicated to this area of the business.
- Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures (as admin) to protect against cyber threats, using tools such as: Trend Micro Vision One, Trend Micro Worry-Free, Mimecast, Microsoft Defender, etc.
- Proactively monitor security risks and respond to potential cyber incidents, including improving the design of our rapid incident response plans. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
- Provide effective training and instruction for associates to improve the company’s cybersecurity.
- Develop and execute long-term cybersecurity strategies to strengthen the company’s IT defense.
Hardware & Software Management
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors dedicated to this area of the business to achieve objectives.
- Oversee and troubleshoot hardware & software, such as computers, printers, barcode scanners, surveillance camera, Wi-Fi connection, CAD software, Everon (security / alarms systems), phone system and other physical IT assets or software related to factory and office – coordinating with vendors where necessary.
- Work closely with internal teams to optimize IT solutions for front office and factory-specific operations.
- Plan and implement long-term IT infrastructure improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Elevating Organizational IT Capability
- Work with the Leadership Team to contribute to the development of the long-term IT strategy.
- Maintain documentation for strategy and detailed execution (e.g., system maps, process flow, etc.).
- Assist in improving user adoption of automation and efficiency with tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI, AI tools, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments, ensuring IT alignment with business objectives.
- Provide regular reporting to company leadership on IT infrastructure status and future improvement plans.
- Partner with external IT vendors and service providers to negotiate solutions, implement best practices, assess performance, and make improvements.
- Develop and execute mid-to-long-term IT strategies that address root causes of recurring IT issues, moving from reactive fixes to proactive solutions.
Documentation for IT structure and ISO procedure
- Create clear documents for related associates to understand our IT structure and system.
- Update ISO procedure applied to current work flow and IT system.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Associate’s degree or higher college degree in information technology.
- 7–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong Microsoft Admin skills, including Remote Desktop Services expertise.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools such as MFA, Windows Defender, XDR/EDR solutions.
- Experience or more with ERP/SAP systems and ability to coordinate with vendors.
- Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing IT hardware, including barcode scanners and industrial devices.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Admin Centers and IT system documentation.
- Ability to respond to urgent IT issues as needed, though 24/7 support is not required.

Preferred But Not Required:
- Certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, CompTIA Security and Microsoft-related certifications.
- Experience in manufacturing IT environments.
- Knowledge of industrial automation IT systems.
