                                             Special Education Aide – (K -5)

Work Year/Hours:                                   10 ½ Months

                                                            Up to 7 hours plus 30-minute lunch/day

Location:                                               To Be Determined  

Start Date:                                             Immediately

Salary:                                                  $17.36 - $18.78 per hour in 3 Steps

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Successful experience working with students
2. Ability to accept and work with a wide range of student behaviors
3. Good physical health
4. Record of excellent attendance
5. Such additional or alternative qualifications as may be determined by the Board of Education

Sample Qualifications:

1. Work at the direction of the teacher to assist and supervise students
2. Assist with management of student behavior
3. Assist in lunchroom program
4. Assist in reinforcing programs set up for special problems
5. Dispense medication as may be assigned
6. Perform other duties as may be assigned
