Job Summary
Spartanburg School District One is seeking a responsible, professional, and safety-minded individual to serve as a Substitute Door Monitor / Weapon Detection Screener. In this important role, you will help ensure a secure and welcoming environment by monitoring school entry points and screening all individuals entering the building using approved access control systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor building entrances to ensure compliance with school access procedures.
- Operate and assist with security and screening systems, including weapon detection tools.
- Greet and interact professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
- Report security concerns or policy violations to school leadership or security personnel.
- Maintain awareness and vigilance at all times during assigned shifts.
- Support safety protocols and follow all school district policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Experience working with students or in a school setting is a plus

Work Schedule & Compensation (Available when called based on Subsittute Need)
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- $24 hour
