Start Date: 12/1/2025 End Date: 05/28/2026; Temporary Full Time with No Benefits
Must hold current NC Teacher license with certification in School Social Worker.
First Pay Day is 1/23/2026
Position Summary
Licensed School Social Worker. School social workers provide direct services to students designed to support student social and emotional development and wellness, to increase academic success, and to improve graduation rates. School social workers help students and families improve school attendance, function more effectively in difficult social or economic situations, and access community resources. School social workers help school staff to better understand the factors affecting a student’s academic performance and behavior, including cultural, societal, economic, familial, mental health issues, and serve as links between the home, school and community.
Qualification and Special Requirements
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a current NC School Social Worker License, area code 006.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Social Work; with a master’s degree and advanced credentials preferred, including MSW, LCW, LCW-S
