Job Title: Workshop Manager
Location: Ponchatoula, LA 70454
Employment Type: Direct Hire | On-Site
Travel: Approximately 20%, including international travel

Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate daily workshop operations, including equipment repair, maintenance, assembly, refurbishment, and service work.
- Schedule customer projects and repair activities while balancing technician availability, equipment, materials, and workshop capacity.
- Coordinate subcontractors and external service providers, monitoring their performance, timelines, and quality of work.
- Manage procurement and availability of spare parts, tools, consumables, operating supplies, and other materials required for workshop activities.
- Enter and monitor work orders, service activities, and project information through the ERP system.
- Review technical drawings, repair instructions, specifications, and other documentation to ensure work is completed correctly.
- Oversee inspections, troubleshooting, process checks, and final testing before equipment is returned or delivered to customers.
- Monitor project schedules, costs, productivity, and operational performance.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to resolve issues and maintain smooth project execution.
- Serve as a technical contact for customers, providing updates on repairs, service progress, technical requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Support the identification and resolution of mechanical and technical problems.
- Maintain accurate records related to repairs, inventory, inspections, purchasing, and customer projects.
- Promote improvements in workshop productivity, quality, safety, turnaround time, and operational processes.
- Ensure all work follows company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Provide direction, coaching, and technical guidance to workshop employees.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical, industrial, workshop, or technical service experience.
- Strong hands-on background in the installation, maintenance, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of gearboxes and winches.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and drive technology.
- Experience with industrial machinery, rotating equipment, or heavy mechanical systems is preferred.
- Previous experience in technical service, field service, workshop operations, or customer-facing technical support is highly desirable.
- Ability to understand technical documentation, drawings, service manuals, and repair specifications.
- Strong planning, organization, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 20%, including international assignments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Sage or other ERP systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training and develop additional skills.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
