Project Manager

About the Role

The Student Project Manager will lead and coordinate all aspects of a Riipen experiential learning project, serving as the main point of contact between the student team, faculty advisor, and partner organization. This role is ideal for students seeking real-world leadership experience in project management, team coordination, and client relations. The Project Manager will use ClickUp to plan, organize, and track all project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Coordination
• Set up the project in ClickUp, including tasks, deadlines, milestones, and assigned responsibilities.
• Maintain an organized workspace in ClickUp so all team members have clear visibility into the project’s status.
• Team Leadership
• Facilitate regular team meetings to monitor progress, address challenges, and keep tasks moving forward.
• Encourage collaboration, foster accountability, and mediate conflicts as needed.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication
• Serve as the primary liaison between the partner organization, faculty mentor, and student team.
• Share ClickUp dashboards, updates, and progress reports with stakeholders.
• Quality Control
• Review and ensure deliverables meet the project requirements and quality standards.
• Use ClickUp checklists, attachments, and comments to track feedback and implement revisions.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability
• Identify risks or barriers early and update the ClickUp plan to keep the project on track.
• Propose solutions and guide the team through scope changes or unexpected challenges.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program (any major; business, communications, and management backgrounds are a plus).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership or teamwork experience (class projects, student organizations, internships, etc.).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and virtual environment.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with ClickUp for project management.
• Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of the Riipen platform.
