Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Conduct wheel alignments, and suspension inspections to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Replace or repair components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending maintenance plans to clients.
- Complete auto estimating and documentation for repairs while adhering to dealership or service center standards.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, and schematics reading.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and engine diagnostics.
- Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and welding techniques.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service best practices.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized automotive service tools efficiently.
