We are looking for a Maintenance Welder at our Gary, IN location. TMS has an immediate opening for an experienced maintenance welder, mechanical skills a plus. We are a heavy equipment repair facility and a union shop that offers good pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to have welds certified or pass welding inspection in GMAW and SMAW, when necessary.
- Have the ability and experience using hand, track torches, air arc gouging and new heavy fabrication.
- Experience in heavy equipment and processing equipment repair a plus.
- Candidate must own some general tools; have good communication, organization, blueprint reading, written skills with a positive attitude and a team player.
- Work is performed both in shop and outside environments.
Qualifications:
- At Least 5 Years Experience
- Welding GMAW, SMAW
- Fabrication, Fitting
- Hand Torch Operation
- Track Torch Operation
- Air Arc Gouging
- Heavy Lifting & Tool Usage
- Mechanical and heavy equipment maintenance experience a plus
- Currently working daytime shift
