We are looking for a Plant Mechanic to work onsite at our union location in West Mifflin, PA.

Pay Range: $33 - $45 per hour plus shift differential

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative and Corrective Maintenance on all plant components including hammer mill, conveyors, feeders, screeners and magnetic separation equipment to reduce unplanned downtime
• Inspect equipment for safe and proper operation
• Install and repair bearings, shafts, pulleys, motors and speed reducers
• Maintain conveyor belt idlers, skirting and chutes
• Welding and fabrication as needed
• Assist with maintenance on mobile equipment as needed

*The focus of this specialized, technically oriented position is on meeting and exceeding high standards of accuracy and quality based on established systems, technologies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Strength in technical problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required.
• A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential.
• Expertise and competency is developed a systematic technical training program, as well as in ongoing exposure to and training in new technical systems once they have been adopted and well tested.
• A key aspect includes ongoing identification of technical problems and development of sound, carefully thoughtout solutions
• Problem solving is focused on proven systems, established technologies, and existing organizational relationships
• Regular, factual, straightforward communication regarding problems and opportunities is expected
• This job allows for autonomy and independence and is primarily selfreliant
• Candidates must have at least 1 year's experience relevant to the move listed duties.
• Must possess demonstrated mechanical aptitude, and be willing to work in a fast paced, dusty environment.
