Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless business continuity for hardware development, testing, verification, and product support.
- Perform hardware changes including PCB design updates, schematic revisions, eBOM updates, and maintenance of ongoing hardware development activities.
- Drive component obsolescence management, conducting evaluations, proposing alternates, and managing redesign activities.
- Support long‑term product reliability and field‑related hardware investigations.
- Support Design Transfer activities to manufacturing.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize manufacturability, and maintain build quality.
- Participate in TRB, CCB, CIT and other cross‑functional discussions to drive alignment and decision‑making.
- Support PRR and EBRR activities, ensuring design safety, risk mitigation, and adherence to medical device regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
- Strong understanding of medical domain concepts, preferably within medical device hardware engineering.
Experience:
- 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in hardware development, testing, or sustenance engineering.
- Experience working with PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Mentor, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of schematics, PCB layout principles, and eBOM management.
- Demonstrated experience in hardware debugging, validation testing, and product support.
- Experience in component lifecycle management, including obsolescence evaluation and alternate component qualification.
- Prior involvement in manufacturing support, design transfer, or resolving production-level hardware issues.
- Exposure to working with external vendors—component suppliers, EMS partners, or design houses.
- Experience participating in cross-functional reviews (TRB/CCB/CIT) and design review processes.
- Familiarity with risk management activities such as PRR and EBRR.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $88000 per year
Pay Range Maximum: $134000 per year

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
