Program Director, IDD Services

Location: Katy, TX
Salary: $45,000 mileage reimbursement
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (with on- call) 

Your Role

As a Program Director, IDD Services, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of one to four community-based programs, ensuring individuals receive high-quality, person-centered services and support.

  • Manage daily program operations, including direct supports, person-centered planning, health care coordination, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.

  • Supervise and support program staff, including scheduling, orientation, performance evaluations, and ongoing development.

  • Make recommendations and/or decisions regarding hiring, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, corrective action, and terminations.

  • Oversee program planning and monitor the delivery of services to ensure supports are consistent, engaging, and responsive to the needs of the individuals served.

  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with individuals served, families, staff, contractors, and other community partners.

  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation related to individuals, services, and program operations.

  • Stay organized while managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and the needs of an assigned caseload.

  • Be available on-call for your assigned caseload. While occasional in-person support may be necessary, many after-hours situations can be addressed by phone.

  • Travel locally to visit and support individuals using your personal vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

  • Support staffing needs as necessary, including assisting with coverage or covering shifts when needed.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a quick learner who is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities at once. This role requires someone who communicates effectively, builds strong relationships, and can maintain detailed documentation while balancing the needs of individuals, families, staff, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification as required by state regulations.

  • Current driver's license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively while meeting deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with families, individuals served, staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to maintain accurate and consistent documentation.

  • Reliable, responsible, and compassionate approach to supporting individuals and leading a team.

  • Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
