Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Medical Office/Front Desk Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our optometry clinic. The ideal candidate will possess extensive medical office experience, strong supervisory skills, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management. This role involves managing administrative functions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Supervise the administrative team, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Oversee medical records management, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage billing, coding, and reimbursement processes utilizing EMR.
- Coordinate staffing schedules to maintain optimal clinic staffing levels.
- Facilitate communication between providers, patients, and insurance companies to streamline patient flow and resolve issues efficiently.
Skills
- Extensive experience in medical office management within healthcare settings.
- Proficiency in EMR systems.
- Strong supervisory skills with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Manage scheduling, check-in/check-out procedures, and daily workflow
- Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Monitor staff performance and maintain accountability
- Ensure accurate data entry, documentation, and record keeping
- Oversee cash handling and payment processing
- Coordinate with management to improve office processes
- Maintain a welcoming and professional front office environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management best practices.
Qualifications
- 2 years of front desk medical office experience
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
