Production Planner/Buyer

:

· Business or Supply Chain Management (Preferred but not necessary)

· Manufacturing Experience 2 years in Machine Shop environment and Production Planning (Preferred)

:

§ Coordinate with operations, potential customer changes – quantities, products to help facilitate production and on time delivery/shipping.

§ Assist with outside vendor processing of product before shipment to customer.

§ Plan machine shop, supply travelers and due dates accordingly

§ Execute issuing materials and labor to work orders in order to maintain costing accuracy

§ Review customer open order report weekly and verify order status. Modify order dates when necessary and update, operations and sales personnel. Manage customer expectations on delivery/shipping dates and inform operations and sales personnel of potential delays.

§ Give recommendations for the offload of work and production bottlenecks.

§ Assist Sales & Manufacturing on new products including sales pricing and material pricing and sourcing.

§ Work with Shipping/Receiving to ensure materials and products are received and shipped in timely manner.

:

· Degree (Associate or Bachelor) - Business or Supply Chain Management (Preferred but not necessary)

· Manufacturing Experience 2 years in Production Planning (Preferred)

· Knowledge of blueprint reading and materials.

· Experience working in a team oriented, small business environment.

· Analytical and demonstrated problem solving skills.

· Quality conscious and attentive to detail. Sound administrative and record keeping skills.

· Effective communication and time management skills.

· Possess comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

· Knowledge of ERP systems. (Sage 100 a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
