What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Production Scheduler-Entry Level position at TMF Plastic Solutions?
Position Summary: Responsible for the planning and scheduling of production work orders to the appropriate cell, at the appropriate time to ensure customer order fulfillment and on time delivery. This is an entry level position.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate with Team to understand daily, weekly and monthly requirements
- Schedule production work orders based on the priorities and build plan communicated by the Plant Manager
- Coordinate Logistics, vendor timeline, and customer requests.
- Provide understanding of planned schedules to other team members
- Print production documents and stage for dispatching to fill room and other feeder areas
- Collaborate with Production leadership to understand constraints with staffing levels, materials and equipment that may affect the production plan
- Expedite and problem solve orders as required
- Work closely with material planners and other supporting departments to ensure feasibility of production schedule
- Assist in improving scheduling process and flow to ensure on time delivery to the customer
- Strong Excel experience is necessary for this system and understanding of ERP systems.
- Run daily reports and compile metrics as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
Other Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow safety practices and procedures
- Record / report material, production, or equipment problems
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
- Actively support and participate in the continuous improvement process
- Additional duties and needed.
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Required – Strong Microsoft Excel and Word Skills, working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
- General math skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
