What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate - Powder Coat position at TMCO Inc?
We are hiring a 1st Shift Production Associate to support our finishing and production departments. This position will primarily work in our powder coating area and may assist with washing parts, sandblasting, hanging parts, and other production tasks as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day and wants to learn multiple areas of manufacturing. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred, but not required
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Powder coating or sandblasting experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Comfortable working in a warm environment
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
- Ability to work well on a team
- Willingness to be cross-trained and work in multiple departments as needed
Job Duties:
This position will support various areas of our finishing and production departments, including but not limited to:
- Washing and preparing parts for powder coating or finishing
- Sandblasting parts in blast booth
- Powder coating parts
- Loading and unloading parts on a moving track system
- Inspecting parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Packaging finished product
- Assisting with basic product assembly or other production areas as needed
- Operating a forklift (if qualified)
- Keeping work area clean and following all safety procedures
