What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Molding Process Engineer position at TMC?

Summary: The Process Engineer is responsible for maintaining the control of processes in injection molding. This position is also responsible for providing support to the execution of the production schedule including anything from component changes, setups and startups.
Essential Job Duties/Functions:
- Direct and monitor the execution of the production schedule.
- Perform mold and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule.
- Perform process troubleshooting, part inspections, and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality.
- Ensure machine is setup correctly with the FAI and 1st piece to produce good parts esp. on the start of a new week.
- Verify paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at startup of jobs.
- Perform in-process inspections and fill out relevant paperwork.
- Monitor and prepare support equipment (i.e. circulators, grinders, etc.) as needed in the production area.
- Assist in break coverage as needed.
- Measure results of job change over via IQMS quoted times to reduce downtime.
- Follow the organization's policies as well as any applicable laws while carrying out any of his or her duties.

- Assisting in other duties, as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This job has supervisory responsibilities of the Process Team in the absence of the Process Engineering Manager. This includes the continual training and discipline of employees.
Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):
- At least an associate's degree in quality engineering or related field is required.
- Bachelor's degree in quality, mechanical or industrial engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in injection molding.

- Must possess valid forklift license.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
