Salary Range: $91,225.00 - $116,768.00/annum

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assumes responsibility for determining the most appropriate way to study an identified health question, this includes identifying the population study, develop questionnaire/analytical design, organize resources needed, and writes project proposal.
  • Conducts study including training interviewers and clerical staff in project-specific tasks as necessary.
  • Coordinates all data collection and entry activities across Community programs, ensuring minimum data integrity standards and completion of tasks in a timely manner. Identifies data entry barriers, working with program staff to research and address issues.
  • Collaborates with Community Program staff to implement data entry plans, scheduling and monitoring completion of tasks; recommend strategies for optimizing and integrating data across multiple platforms.
  • Develops and implements empirically sound data analysis plans in keeping with evaluation and research questions; and provide support to the Chief of Healthy Living & Outreach in efforts to develop new data collection instruments and pilot testing.
  • Routinely researches and provides surveillance accounts of emerging research findings in the areas related to of Public Health.
  • Analyzes health-related trends; assesses individual-and community-level risk factors in the population; interprets and reports findings that have public health implications and develops policy recommendations.
  • Performs routine and complex statistical analysis, ensuring statistical integrity and efficiency using Statistical software.
  • Manages an outcome database create user profiles, programs interface; query system to produce reports; perform data cleaning and quality control; and maintains data dictionary statistics.
  • Generates routine and ad hoc reports, charts and other department presentation materials.
  • Analyzes reports of data duplicates or other errors to provide ongoing appropriate communication with Chief of Healthy Living and Outreach, Public Health and program staff.
  • Updates evaluation data dashboards for all Community programs; respond to staff requests for data; and conduct routine e-literature search in support of efforts to conduct surveys and focus groups, and gather other forms of qualitative data, including participant recruitment, volunteer training and scheduling.
  • Supports all other evaluation projects, including support in writing evaluation plans and research proposals and researching grant opportunities.
  • Prepares public health education materials and presents information to groups including public health professionals, broadcast and print media, and the general public.
  • Abstracts, reviews, and develops epidemiological reports at the request of clinic leadership, including inpatient and outpatient workload data.
  • Provides surveillance, analysis, and reports Infectious Disease exposures within the inpatient and outpatient units of FDIHB, Inc
  • Performs assigned tasks during outbreak and other rapid response epidemiologic investigation; works with local, state, and federal health agencies to investigate health incidents.
  • Participates in a variety of meetings, committees, study groups and task forces in the community and acts as a resource as needed.
  • Collaborates with Medical Directors and participates in advisory board meetings as needed.
  • Oversees plans and implements the public health preparedness staff, program and activities.
  • Attends and conducts trainings on emerging health issues and concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Three (3) years of direct work experience.

Education: Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or closely related field.
