TMC Transportation is looking for Tarpers to join our team. This position will be housed out of Georgia Pacific's distribution center in Sweetwater, TX.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AS WELL AS DRUG SCREEN & PHYSICAL.
SHIFT: Monday-Friday 945pm-615am
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The primary function for a Tarper is to assist and secure tarps on pre-loaded trailers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tarp pre-loaded trailers per customer requirement
- Run tarp machine
- Apply pre-protective covering to secure loads
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma preferred
- Strong work history and ethic
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical requirements and work environment described are representative of those present while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Must have the ability to drive a commercial vehicle within short distances (less than 2 miles) from terminal location
- Ability to lift 80lbs
- Ability to climb on and off of truck trailers and loads
