Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks across commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to keep all areas tidy and hygienic
- Use specialized equipment for floor care such as buffing machines, floor scrubbers, and polishers to maintain high-quality surfaces
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks in large facilities, including sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Assist with custodial responsibilities such as window washing, carpet cleaning, and surface disinfecting to uphold cleanliness standards
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures or equipment and assisting with light maintenance tasks like painting or minor repairs
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning operations to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of chemicals and equipment
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and use of cleaning machinery required
- Experience with residential painting or general facilities maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and safety standards is advantageous
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers effectively
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods
