Overview
TM Industries specializes in high precision contract machining and concurrent engineering of medium-to-large components for the maritime and power generation industries. TM Industries is an Electric Boat direct machining shop.
We are actively searching for a Deburring Technician to join our growing team. As a deburrer, you will operate machinery to grind, smooth, and burr from machined parts. This position is excellent for anyone who is detailed oriented, can complete tasks independently, and has a positive team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect and compare raw material and manufactured components to specifications.
- Operate power grinders and buffers daily.
- Inspect, measure, grind, sand, and polish components.
- Periodically measure objects with micrometers and gauges.
- Bring all quality problems to the attention of line supervisor or inspector.
- Complete documentation as required.
- Follow operators’ responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by production supervisor or general manager.
Qualifications
- Ability to use hand tools to remove machining burrs easily without damaging the part(s).
- Experience with aerospace parts and general machining parts.
- Must be able to stand for shift durations.
- Excellent visual accuracy is preferred.
- Ability to communicate issues to management.
- Good math skills required.
- Flexible working long hours as required to meet project deadlines.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
