Join our team as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver delivering freight efficiently and safely across local routes and routes in neighboring states. Schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday work. Home Daily!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Unload freight using electric pallet jack
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each shift
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience driving commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers with manual transmissions in a safe manor
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently using GPS or route planning tools while maintaining safety standards
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT regulations
