Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks effectively.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing and stripping as necessary to ensure they are clean and presentable. This won’t be often, and you’d have assistance.
- Clean restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks as assigned, including carpet cleaning and window washing.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report any facility issues that require attention.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus.
- Experience in floor care techniques such as buffing and stripping is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently!
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Must be able to follow directions from boss and do what you’re asked
