What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at TLS Construction?
Mobile and Baldwin County and surrounding areas, Alabama.
This is a Heavy Equipment Operator position, operating 40,000# plus equipment.
Excavator Operators need to be familiar with fine grading, Pipe installation and fittings(water line, sewer, drainage, RCP installation) and trenching on grade safely, Pond excavation and stragegic material placement, Safe Loading of on road and off-road trucks with clearing debris/trees/Stumps, asphalt, concrete etc, and using GPS consoles and menus to grade and adjust offsets for cut/fill operations as required.
Dozer operators need to be familiar with fine grading, pipe backfill operations, clearing operations and stock piling material, installing dirt/sand/rock in lifts suitable for passing density testing and proof roll, using GPS screens and menus to grade and adjust offsets for cut/fill operations as required.
At times all operators will be required to use "simple equipment" such as rollers, skid steers, off-road trucks, street sweeper, and mini excavators and loaders as the situation requires.
Local personnel only, no per diem is offered currently at this time for these positions.
Additional incentives can be discussed based on qualifications, length of employment, timely and efficient completion of projects, production rates per day, etc such as health insurance, 401K, etc.
