What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Associate position at TLF Graphics?
Shipping Associates are responsible for verifying outgoing shipments via our software platform, correctly preparing packages and maintaining accurate record keeping as well as communicate with other shipping team members. The following are some of the specific duties and tasks required to complete the job, but is not limited to this list.
· Compare and confirm identifying information such as counts, weights measurements of item outgoing that verifies information against tickets/orders and other various records.
· Identify the method of shipping based on ticket/orders and noted instructions within records. Inspect the product to pack ensuring product matches the order/ticket and specifications.
· Select and assemble cardboard/corrugated packaging. Carefully pack/insert products into assembled containers and add packing material for safe delivering.
· Create and process shipping documents, affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils, identifying shipping information.
· Operate a tier lift truck or a hand pallet jack to move or hoist shipments from shipping platforms to storage or a specified work area.
Computer Skills Needed - Candidates should be familiar with how to navigate a computer and have the ability to learn how to use programs on the computer entering data accurately into various systems in a timely manner. Training on software we use will be provided.
