TLC Senior Care, a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE), is looking for dedicated Caregivers to join our team! If you have a passion for providing compassionate care and making a difference in seniors’ lives, we’d love to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities:
Personal Care Assistance
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care
- Help with mobility support, transfers, and repositioning
- Encourage resident independence while providing necessary support
Medication Assistance & Health Monitoring
- Assist with medication reminders and administration per California Title 22 RCFE regulations
- Observe and document residents’ health and behavioral changes
- Report concerns to the Administrator or designated medical professional
Meal Preparation & Dining Assistance
- Prepare and serve nutritious, balanced meals and snacks based on dietary requirements
- Assist residents with feeding and hydration needs
- Monitor for special dietary restrictions and ensure safe food handling
Housekeeping & Facility Maintenance
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment
- Ensure residents’ rooms and common areas are clean and comfortable
- Assist with bed making, organizing belongings, and maintaining safety
Social Engagement & Emotional Support
- Encourage and assist residents with recreational activities, social interactions, and hobbies
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve residents’ well-being
- Assist in coordinating and leading group activities when needed
Compliance & Safety
- Follow Title 22 regulations and company policies for resident care
- Maintain confidentiality and dignity of all residents
- Participate in ongoing training and staff meetings
Qualifications & Requirements (Per California Title 22 RCFE Regulations):
✅ Must be at least 18 years old
✅ High school diploma or equivalent
✅ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
✅ Pass a Live Scan background check (DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Index clearance)
✅ Completion of initial 40-hour caregiver training (including 20 hours before working independently and 20 hours within the first year)
✅ Obtain and maintain First Aid certification
✅ Proof of TB test and health screening per state requirements
✅ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with resident transfers
✅ Prior caregiving experience preferred, but willing to train compassionate candidates
