What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at TLC Pediatrics PLLC?
TLC Pediatrics is hiring a full-time or part-time receptionist/backup referral clerk. As a medical receptionist at TLC Pediatrics, you will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients and their families, collecting copays, deductibles and coinsurance amounts, verifying insurance eligibility, processing incoming and outgoing faxes and using common office equipment. As a backup referral clerk, you will work with our current referral clerk to assist in scheduling specialist appointments and ensuring appropriate referrals and prior authorizations are obtained. This position will also assist with medical records, insurance, and PCMH reporting/scheduling on an as needed basis. We are looking for someone who is dependable, dedicated to long term employment, teachable, has a positive attitude, is able to multitask, and is willing to work as a team.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:50 AM - 5:00 PM. Beginning and ending times may vary depending on clinic needs.
Past medical office experience is highly valued but not required.
Yearly flu shots are required.
