IntroductionStep into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse in Utilization Management, where your clinical expertise will help balance patient access, quality outcomes, and efficient care delivery. In this specialty, you’ll be at the forefront of coordinating care across settings, assessing medical necessity, and guiding treatment pathways that support patients, families, and providers alike. Your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes—from optimized hospital stays to smooth transitions to home or alternative care environments—while you grow your skill set in a fast-paced, data-informed field. This opportunity is designed for experienced RNs who want to deepen their impact and expand their career horizons within utilization management, case management, and population health. Nestled in Franklin, New Hampshire, you’ll enjoy a community that blends small-town charm with easy access to outdoor adventures and the state’s scenic beauty. New Hampshire’s four distinct seasons invite you to explore the White Mountains, tranquil lakes, and scenic byways during your downtime, while the region’s welcoming communities offer a supportive backdrop for professional growth. The state’s rich history, vibrant fall foliage, and intimate downtowns create a uniquely appealing environment to call home.Location BenefitsFranklin, NH, sits along the scenic Merrimack River and offers a supportive, walkable community with convenient access to larger hubs in the Northeast. In addition to Franklin, you may have the opportunity to work in various locations across the U.S. through our nationwide travel program, exposing you to diverse care settings and regulatory landscapes while maintaining a specialty focus in utilization management. This flexibility broadens your professional experience and enriches your clinical perspective, as you collaborate with interprofessional teams in urban centers, coastal communities, and rural towns, all while advancing best practices in medical necessity reviews, discharge planning, and care coordination. And for those who value outdoor enthusiasts’ playgrounds, NH’s natural beauty offers year-round activities—from skiing and snowshoeing in winter to kayaking and foliage-wazing in autumn—making it easy to balance a rewarding career with a fulfilling personal life.Role Specifics and BenefitsAs a Utilization Management RN, you will perform prospective and concurrent medical necessity reviews, assessing treatment plans, level of care, and expected outcomes against applicable criteria and payer requirements. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, social workers, and payers to ensure timely, accurate decisions that protect patients’ rights and promote appropriate resource use. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for alternative care pathways, coordinating discharge planning, and documenting outcomes to support continuous improvement. You’ll participate in optimization initiatives, contribute to care pathways and evidence-based guidelines, and play a key role in education for patients and teams about coverage options and care options. The position includes a clear pathway for professional growth, with opportunities to expand into clinical liaison roles, advanced case management, health policy involvement, and analytics-informed care coordination. Benefits are designed to recognize your expertise and commitment: a competitive weekly pay range of $2,305-$2,503, with guaranteed 40 hours per week, plus a new-hire incentive bonus and housing assistance to ease transitions. Extension opportunities allow you to continue your journey with our program beyond the initial assignment, providing continuity and stability. You’ll have 24/7 support from our dedicated team while traveling, ensuring you’re never alone on the road.
