Radiology – Sonographer

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced Sonographer to join our Radiology team. The Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate imaging outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including general, abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts as appropriate.
• Use ultrasound equipment proficiently to acquire quality diagnostic images.
• Review patient histories and clinical data to determine proper imaging techniques.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures under physician direction.
• Document and submit preliminary findings for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and operated according to safety standards.
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals regarding procedures and findings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Registered with ARDMS or other recognized credentialing body.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in sonography preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Proficiency in ultrasound physics, anatomy, and scanning techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members.
