Job Description: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Position Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for travel assignments in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs assessment, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Assist physicians and nurses with medical procedures and examinations.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
• Maintain and update patient records in electronic health systems.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
• Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and other administrative duties.
• Travel to different healthcare facilities based on assignment needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year in a medical assistant role preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments and relocate as needed.
