Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Construction Worker/Carpenter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of construction and carpentry tasks across diverse projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to building, remodeling, and restoring structures with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and roofing
- Conduct concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, and stucco application to ensure durable structures
- Install fixtures such as glass panels, cabinetry, doors, flooring, tiles, and other interior or exterior elements
- Execute restoration projects involving plastering, caulking, painting, and masonry repairs
- Conduct construction inspections to verify quality standards and compliance with safety regulations
- Assist with construction management tasks like estimating materials and scheduling work sequences
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong background.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, electrical wiring, roofing techniques, and concrete finishing
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to operate heavy equipment responsibly
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to perform construction inspection duties accurately while maintaining high safety standards
- Experience with remodeling projects including fixture installation, restoration work, hardscape development, and glass installation
We’re a small family-owned business offering a flexible work environment. Pay depends on knowledge of construction. We do go to different locations throughout the Des Moines area.
Pay: $14.00 - $22.00 per hour
