What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Steel Detailer position at TL Steel LLC?
Job Summary
TL Steel LLC is looking for a full-time, in house Steel Detailer to work at our Burrton, KS shop. The ideal candidate would have experience designing and drawing steel structures. This could include handrail, guardrail, gates, mezzanines, stairs, platforms, complete building structures, and much more. Tekla detailing experience is preferred. The candidate needs to be experienced in taking field measurements and will be required to interact with customers in a professional manner. As a growing business, our employees need to be willing to take on a variety of roles and be self-motivated. Some responsibilities will include:
- Utilize & be proficient in Tekla detailing software to make shop & erection drawings.
- Detail multiple projects at a time, while being able to prioritize jobs to meet customer deadlines.
- Proficient in reading architectural and structural drawings supplied by the customer/contractor.
- Work with customers through issues that arise & provide solutions.
- Work with internal shop foreman to answer any questions or revise drawings.
- Continually look to improve drawings to better efficiency in both the shop & the field.
- Submit drawings to the customer/contractor for approval.
- Revise drawings per customers & internal communications.
- Meet specific deadlines for released shop drawings to ensure steel is fabricated on time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
