Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Sales & Warehouse Associate role based in Scottsdale, AZ. The associate will greet customers, answer product questions, and guide clients through flooring and surface options to support design and purchasing decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing quotes, processing orders, coordinating with installers or contractors, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role also involves receiving, organizing, and staging materials in the warehouse, loading and unloading product safely, and keeping the showroom and storage areas clean and well-organized. The associate will work closely with the sales and operations team to ensure timely order fulfillment, support vendor deliveries, and provide a professional and courteous experience for every customer. This role has potential for full-time employment.
Qualifications
- Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, ask effective questions, and guide customers through product choices.
- Basic product knowledge or interest in learning about flooring, tile, slabs, and related design materials.
- Warehouse and material-handling abilities, including safe lifting practices and organizing, staging, and moving inventory.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale skills for entering orders, checking inventory, and updating customer information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional, respectful, and team-oriented approach.
- Attention to detail and reliability in following processes, checking orders, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods, and to safely handle flooring and tile products as needed.
- Previous retail, showroom, warehouse, or construction/design industry experience is preferred but not required.
- College experience preferred; excellent opportunity for students studying design, construction or related field.
