Cashier

Job purposeAccept orders from customers and paymentfor customer orders at the point of sale on behalf of the company. Fill drinks, bag food and present to customer. Keep front area clean. Fill station suppliesas needed.This position is non-exempt.Essential FunctionsTo accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able toperform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential functionsatisfactorily. Reasonableaccommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals withdisabilities to perform the essential function so of the job.● Handle customer’s payment,provide accurate change and receipt.● Count currency in drawer andmaintain accuracy and accountability● Ensure there exists acorrelation between cash owed and actual amount paid by clients.● Assist to resolve currencyshortage or overage problems● Assist in compiling cashand other financial reports at the end of the shift/day.● Maintain store cleanlinessaccording to industry standards● Package orders and presentthem to client, provide receipt.● Stock the store with allrequired supplies including but not limited to condiments, napkins, straws,bags.QualificationsPrior cashier experience a plus.Qualifications include:● Associatesdegree, high school diploma or GED certificate ● Abilityto work flexible hours including nights and weekends● Bilingualis a plus● Abilityto count, add, subtract, divide and organize● Exceptionalinterpersonal communication skills● Dependableand reliable● Mustbe eligible to work in the United States.Working conditionsWork environment can be hectic and fastpaced. Cashier is subjected to various temperatures for long hours. Must be availabledays, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.Physical requirements● Requiredto work on your feet and stand for 8 hours a day. ● Pickup 10 lbs or less on a regular base.● Abilityto perform front of the house functions when needed.● Requiredprolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and suppliesweighing 10 lbs or less, repetitive hand and wrist motion.● Operatecomputers, phones, fax machines, point of sale registersDirect reportsManager
