Job Description:
The Contracts Administrator is responsible for the review and administration of construction contracts across the Company’s project portfolio. This role partners closely with Legal, Finance, and Project Management to ensure contracts appropriately allocate risk, align with company standards, and support successful project execution. This position will report to the General Counsel.
Experience and Skills:
Contract Preparation and Administration
* Review and draft a high volume of construction contracts using Legal approved templates.
* Manage contract lifecycle from intake through execution and closeout.
* Request required project close out information such as surety consents to final payment, warranty information, as-builts, etc.
* Prepare project files and, when needed, apply for and procure certificates of insurance and bonds.
Cross-Functional Support
* Identify, segregate, and advise specific departments on department specific contract terms (e.g., identify payment terms for finance or prevailing wage requirements for Payroll) and identify key risks (indemnity, insurance, liquidated damages, schedule, payment terms, etc.)
* Advise Legal on escalated issues and non-standard terms
* Work with estimating and operations teams during bid and award phases Process & Systems
* Implement and/or improve contract management processes and tracking
* Manage contract management system, IntelAgree
