Position: Entry-Level Royalty Analyst

Location: Beverly Hills, CA (Hybrid Work Option Available)

Salary Range: $50,000 – $75,000 per year based on experience

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Royalty Analyst to join our team and help us continue delivering top-tier service to our music industry clients.

What You’ll Do:

As an Entry-Level Royalty Analyst, you’ll work alongside our royalty and accounting teams to support the accurate processing, analysis, and reporting of royalty data from multiple revenue streams, including digital streaming, mechanical, performance, and synchronization. This role offers hands-on exposure to music royalties from various revenue streams including digital streaming, performance rights, and sync licensing. You'll gain valuable experience working with contracts, statements, and systems that support artists, writers, and publishers in receiving accurate payments.

Key Responsibilities:

Training and support will be provided as you grow into these areas.

Royalty Processing & Data Entry:

• Assist in collecting, reviewing, and entering royalty statement data from streaming services, labels, and publishers
• Maintain and update royalty tracking spreadsheets and databases
• Help reconcile royalty income to financial records and client contracts

Financial Review & Contract Support:

• Support the analysis of royalty trends and discrepancies
• Review licensing agreements under supervision to ensure proper revenue recognition
• Contribute to client audit preparation and compliance tasks

Client Communication & Industry Coordination:

• Help coordinate with labels, publishers, and PROs (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) regarding payments and metadata
• Prepare royalty summaries and assist with client reporting
• Support tax and compliance efforts related to royalty income

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Music Business, or related field (or expected graduation within 1 year)
• Experience with music industry revenue models, including streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
• Understanding of copyright laws, publishing rights, and licensing agreements.

Experience:

• Internship or 0–2 years of professional experience in accounting, data analysis, music business, or a related role
• Familiarity with royalty statements, music licensing, or the entertainment industry is a plus

Skills:

• Strong Excel skills 
• Financial modeling
• Detail-oriented with solid analytical and organizational skills
• Eagerness to learn royalty systems like Vistex, Counterpoint, or Music Maestro
• Interest in music, copyright, and entertainment finance
• Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset
