Carpenter

TKC Construction Group LLC (TKC) has been providing quality general contracting services to the Wausau area since 2013. Our services are year round and consists of primarily residential remodeling, with some commercial remodeling, and new home construction (we are an authorized Wausau Homes builder). We are currently seeking experienced and passionate full-time carpenters who can work independently to complete carpentry tasks on our construction projects. As a carpenter your role will be to work under the direction of our Jobsite Manager to carry out a variety of tasks (Primarily demolition, framing, doors, windows, flooring, and trim) and to drive the company vehicle and equipment required to carry out the tasks back and forth from our shop to our jobsites.

Three years of construction experience in the listed carpentry tasks is required, and additional experience is a plus. The ability to qualify to be on our company vehicle insurance policy is also required, as well as the ability to drive a trailer independently. Compensation is an hourly rate based on level of experience; plus, quarterly bonuses based on company and employee performance. Performance based raises are given at 3 months, 6 months, then yearly.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is to carry out the carpentry tasks as described by the Jobsite Manager. Tasks will be carried out on your own unless assistance is required to complete the tasks. Carpentry tasks include, but are not limited to demolition, framing, doors, windows, flooring, and trim. See list below:

- Work independently when possible

- Follow safety and cleaning procedures

- Loading and unloading tools and materials

- Communicate changes or issues at the jobsite

- Setting up, taking down, and organizing workstations

- Install a variety of materials such as framing, doors, windows, flooring, trim, etc.

- Use a variety of tools including table saw, miter saw, battery tools, pneumatic tools, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

The additional responsibilities are to maintain the everyday equipment that is used. This includes but is not limited to company vehicles, shop, trailers, tools, etc. Additional tasks may arise at any point. See list below:

- Clean and organize shop, trailers, and vehicles

- Inventory tools and materials in shop and trailers

Required Qualifications:

The required qualifications are 3 years of construction specifically carrying out carpentry tasks including demolition, framing, doors, windows, flooring, and trim. One or more years of carrying out these tasks on your own is a plus! The ability to qualify to be on our company vehicle insurance policy is also required, as well as the ability to drive a trailer independently. See list below:

- 3 years of carpentry experience

- Ability to read blueprints and floorplans

- Ability to use a variety of construction tools

- Ability to install a variety of building materials

- Full understanding of the construction process

- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment

- Ability to drive company vehicles, haul company trailers, and load/unload materials and tools

Performance Measurements:

Employee performance is measured by completion of monthly goals as well as the completion of everyday tasks. Performance is reviewed at 3 months, 6 months, then yearly. Each review provides an opportunity for a performance-based pay raise.

- Completing all tasks assigned

- Completion level of monthly goals

- Completing tasks to our company standard

- Completing tasks within our required timeframes
