ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- LANDSCAPING AND JANITORIAL – Responsible for coordinating and maintaining facility, grass, trees, bushes and other plant life in addition to maintaining the exterior aesthetics of the building. Will also be responsible for clearing debris such as branches or litter. Oversee the Cleaning and ordering the janitorial supplies for both the Middleton and Walnut facilities as needed. Restocking consumables and removing refuge. Assist with leading monthly safety audits as needed.
- CARPENTRY AND PAINTING – May perform advance carpentry work. Will perform repairs to walls, doors, trim and windows. Will be responsible for painting, fabricating and maintaining metal, ladders and catwalks as required.
- PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL - Will be required to solve electrical problems such as faulty light switches, dead light bulbs and wall sockets. Will also make sure that electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently. Will be responsible for repairing plumbing problems such as leaky faucets and malfunctioning washing equipment. Will also be responsible for repairing lights in office spaces.
- CONTRACTING AND SUB-CONTRACTING LIASION – Depending on the situation, may act as company liaison with contractors / sub-contractors performing work in and around the facility. Will also assist Fire Protection System contractors as needed / required.
- HVAC SYSTEM – Provide routine maintenance / light repair as needed (changing filters, etc.) as needed. Assist HVAC contractors in resolving heating, ventilation, and air conditioning issues.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School and/or Technical School diploma required.
- 4 or 5 years working experience in maintenance position in a manufacturing/industrial environment or equivalent.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills essential for the role.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internet search engines.
- Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs, work independently with minimal guidance.
- General mechanical experience maintaining equipment.
- General organizational and time management skills.
- Possess a basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Possess a basic knowledge of the manufacturing processes.
- Possess the ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends.
