ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Data Pipeline Development:
- Build ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks to ingest data from manufacturing systems, ERP platforms, and IoT devices.
- Develop and test data transformation logic using Python, SQL, and Spark.
- Write scripts and utilities in Python or .NET (C#) to automate data workflows.
- Support data quality monitoring and validation efforts.
- Development Practices:
- Learn and apply best practices in version control, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies using Azure DevOps.
- Document data flows, schemas, and processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- General IT Activities:
- Support various phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business intelligence, application development, and plant operations.
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data solutions.
- Explore and recommend improvements to existing data processes.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C#/.NET.
- Familiarity with relational databases and basic data modeling concepts.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exposure to Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure SQL Database.
- Experience with Python libraries for data engineering such as pandas, PySpark, or NLP.
- Familiarity with Java or Scala for distributed data processing.
- Experience building applications or scripts using .NET (C#).
- Familiarity with Git version control and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
- Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
