Join our dynamic team as a Medical Courier and play a vital role in ensuring the timely and secure transportation of medical supplies, specimens, and equipment. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to healthcare delivery by providing reliable, efficient courier services. As a Medical Courier, you will be the key link between medical facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, and patients, ensuring that critical items reach their destinations safely and on schedule. Your dedication will directly impact patient care and operational efficiency. Job is Monday - Saturday, with option to rotate Saturday or work all of them. Hours on Saturday are from 10-1
Duties
- Safely operate small van to deliver medical supplies and specimens across designated routes
- Load and unload different size boxes up to 25 lbs
- Maintain accuracy on packing the boxes with medical specimens, while be efficient.
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive medical materials, including temperature-sensitive items and hazardous substances when necessary
- Follow detailed delivery routes efficiently while managing time effectively to meet scheduled pick-up and drop-off times
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff, receptionists, and dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform heavy lifting as needed, and report maintenance needs to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably within a medical or healthcare setting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be able to pass a background check, and drug testing.
- Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and traffic regulations in various environments
- Ability to lift heavy boxes or equipment repeatedly throughout the shift; physical strength required for moving items safely. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory handling and storage protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude when interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining flexibility in dynamic situations
- Must be able to use a small tablet, and scanner to track the medical specimens. Or be willing to be trained.
