Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead projects from start to finish. This role involves overseeing carpentry work, ensuring quality standards are met, and collaborating with other tradespeople to deliver exceptional results.
Duties
- Interpret and work from schematics and blueprints to execute carpentry projects accurately.
- Perform installation tasks including framing, windows, doors, siding installation
- Oversee the work of junior carpenters providing guidance and support.
- Ensure all carpentry work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications.
- Manage project timelines and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with carpentry work as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Experienced in installation processes for framing/trim work/windows/doors
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in building practices.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to manage a team of carpenters.
