Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that keeps the wheels turning! In this position, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, to deliver freight efficiently and reliably. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure that goods reach their destinations on time while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, across assigned routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Plan and follow optimal routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
• Load, secure, unload, and verify freight cargo such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, or specialty items like automobile transportation or dump truck loads
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards
• Load and unload cargo manually or with equipment such as forklifts or cranes, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo and hazardous materials
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during trips

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with clean driving record; experience driving tractor-trailers or commercial trucks preferred
• Proven experience in delivery driving with knowledge of route driving strategies for efficiency
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and dangerous goods handling
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with manual handling is essential
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial trucking and hazardous materials transportation
• Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments
• Physical ability to load/unload cargo manually or using equipment like forklifts; capable of handling logistics cargo safely
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service

CDL Class A Truck Driver Position Overview: TJN Enterprises Inc., is now seeking a Class A CDL driver out of Sioux Falls, SD. The successful candidate will have a friendly disposition and excellent work ethic, possess a valid Class A driver's license in the state they reside in. Excellent CDL driving history is required as well as having the physical ability to frequently lift up to 60 lbs. Experience in or familiarity with driving tractor trailer w/ end-dump and roll-offs is also preferred.

Must be able to do a variety of task of helping out in the scrap yard or warehouse if not driving trucks.
