Duties
- Safely operate cargo vans for delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, unload, and move products using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand truck.
- Ensure accurate loading and unloading of goods.
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ locations, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout the process.
- Manage warehouse tasks including inventory checks, organizing stock, and operating material handling equipment safely.
- Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update route information, and communicate with dispatch teams effectively.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission driving, and workplace weight handling requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations with a focus on safe manual handling and moving goods.
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- Must have clean Valid driver’s license.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely (approximately 25 pounds) while following proper lifting practices; physically capable of manual handling tasks throughout the shift.
- Excellent organizational skills for route planning, load & unload procedures, and inventory management.
